About

The way light hits the human face and how the skin folds and stretches is amazing. I like to take these features and exaggerate them beyond what we consider normal to accentuate individuality.

Our lives are filled with images of cookie cutter beautiful faces, yet everyone has a blemish and I want to bring them to the forefront in a humorous method. Distinctive features of a face, the way a tooth bends or how the skin creases around the mouth can have profound effects and emit an entirely different feeling. Exposing viewers to these differences allows us to enjoy the unique qualities that every imperfection creates, and hopefully discover our own face is perfect the way it is.

I graduated from The Art Institute of Colorado in 1997, then spent a few years in Vail, Colorado. After playing in the snow, I migrated west to San Francisco and haven't left.
